Happy women’s day

We had an opportunity to feature a determined, Hard working and inspirational woman Sethunya Molosiwa, Operations Director( Okavango Diamond Company ) and we couldn’t let the opportunity pass us by.

We asked her, How can women use their their femininity to help them lead better? Making our sensitivity, soft qualities work for us instead of seeing them as an impediment. She also shared what Women can do today to help them access the gems within and get rid of self limiting beliefs, this is what she had to say:

“The last 18 months have been very difficult for the world. It has been even more difficult for women who had to navigate working from home and also continuing to navigate their role as the primary caregivers for their children, spouses and sick relatives. This has resulted in an unprecedented number of women choosing to ‘lean out’ of the formal job sector. A lot of women, myself included, have chosen to use this moment as a pivotal moment in their careers. This is my proudest leadership moment because I have and continue to overcome imposter syndrome. Self leadership is the best form of leadership so continue to work on your own personal development. I hope that women can choose to see this moment as another testament of your resilience. It is this resilience that has driven us to fight for recognition of our performance at work despite the continued pushback. All women need to realize that they won’t lead like men but that their more collaborative leadership model will lead to better outcomes. Self doubt has led to a lot of women choosing not to step into roles that are ideal for them and this should stop immediately. The current situation is a moment in time and it shall pass, therefore women should continue to prepare for the next stage of their life. Continue to dream big.”
